In 2019, our networking group will be meeting in February, May, August and October. We usually meet on a Tuesday evening at around 17:30 for an hour and a half, in a different venue across Edinburgh each time.
The format of these meetings usually involves a short introduction about our group and our aims. We then invite the venue hosts to speak about their organisation and the work that they do in the community, followed by a speaker from an additional group or area of expertise- usually from the same community or working in a field related to the work the venue supports. We then take some time for discussion, questions and having a chat over tea, coffee and a biscuit.
The aims of our networking meetings are twofold; firstly, we want to showcase the good work going on in Edinburgh and give groups and organisations a platform to share this with interested parties. We also want to give people an opportunity to chat to the group, ask questions and network with people from different sectors and experiences that they may not usually interact with.
All of our networking events are free to attend.
